In January 2018, seven-year-old Keaton Barrón started a kindness club from his hospital room with his friend Kay. “K” was his nickname, and membership was $1, or whatever a person could afford.
Within months, the K Club had members in all 50 states. Keaton passed away on May 11, 2018, at age 8. His club carries on in his name.
Or whatever you can afford, just like Keaton said. Be kind, be courageous, be compassionate, be caring, and you're in.
The Barrón family was named Parents Magazine's America's Kindest Family, and the K Club has been featured by News 9 and Inside OSU.
Thank you to every sponsor, donor, vendor, guest, and volunteer.
