what your kindness does

Programs

Every gift goes toward bringing a little joy to a kid in the hospital, or a little help to a family who needs it.

Keaton's Lego Project

Keaton loved Legos! They provided him with hours of entertainment in the hospital and when he had to stay home. The K Club provides Lego sets to children on the oncology floor of the Children's Hospital in the hopes of bringing them some joy and a welcome distraction from all that goes on during a hospital stay. Ask us how you can help!

K Packs

Families with a child in hospice are facing one of the most difficult situations imaginable. The K Club aims to provide a way to make lasting memories and provide comfort to these families. K Packs contain items that allow families to create precious keepsakes and remind them that they are loved. Ask us how you can help us provide care packs to these special children and their families.

K Cares

No family should ever have to experience the loss of a child. The K Club supports families who have lost a child due to cancer by assisting with funeral costs.

Breakout Parties

Children who receive bone marrow transplants are required to stay in the hospital for several weeks or possibly months. The staff at Oklahoma Children's Hospital and families want to celebrate with patients when they are well enough to leave the hospital. The K Club provides the gifts, decorations, and treats for these celebrations, known as "Breakout Parties." We are honored to play a small part in these joyful moments.

K Boosts

Cancer treatment is extremely rigorous, and many families are undergoing other challenges in addition to their children fighting cancer. K Boosts are little "boosts" of joy and hope that help children and families through the long and difficult journey of battling childhood cancer. K Boosts might include gifts for a patient celebrating a birthday while in the hospital, grocery cards for a family struggling financially, or gifts for the whole family when they need a "pick me up."

Bell Ringing

Ringing the bell at the Jimmy Everest Center signifies that a child has completed treatment for cancer. It is a momentous occasion, and the K Club wants to help patients and their families celebrate! We provide a gift for each child who rings the bell and are thrilled to be a part of this special day!

Scholarships

The K Club provides financial assistance for patients pursuing college or trade school.

Kindness Clubs

K Club kindness clubs run in elementary schools, and members who want a K Club t-shirt can check size availability through their school counselor. Kindness Club photos and stories from meetings and projects are coming to this page.

random and on purpose

Acts of kindness

The K Club was built on the idea of random acts of kindness: little unexpected surprises to brighten another's day. K Club members around the world are spreading kindness one act at a time. What can you do to spread kindness? Share your own on our Facebook page and Instagram, and watch Keaton's mission spread far and wide.

Keaton's Clubhouse

A safe space on the hematology/oncology floor at The Children's Hospital where patients can relax and play outside of the confines of their hospital rooms. The 2020 Keaton Barrón Charity Classic completed its funding, with renovations scheduled from November 2020 to January 2021.
